Biography

Dr John T. H. Wong has been a consultant cardiologist in private practice since 2014. He obtained his MBBS (Honours) from Monash University, Australia, in 1995 and received his cardiology training at Prince of Wales Hospital and United Christian Hospital in Hong Kong.

 

In 2006, he was conferred Fellowship in Cardiology and Advanced Internal Medicine by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. Prior to entering private practice, he served as Head of Cardiology at Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital from 2010 to 2014. He has been an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2013, and was elected a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) in 2014.

 

Dr Wong has dedicated himself to community service over the past 20 years, particularly through the Auxiliary Medical Service and St John Ambulance. He was awarded the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service in 2015 and appointed a Member of the Order of St John (MStJ) in 2023 for his outstanding service to these two organizations.
