Biography

Dr Francois Fong has been a family physician cum sex therapist in private practice since 2008. He obtained his MBBS (Honours) from Monash University, Australia in 1994 and received his family medicine training in Australia and sex therapist training from University of Sydney in 2008. He received Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 2000.

 

He has been lecturer for Monash University, clinical supervisor for Master students at University of Sydney. He has also been an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at and the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care in HKU and the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care at CUHK since 2003.

 

In 2000, he returned from Melbourne to Hong Kong and established Hong Kong Sexual Health Centre and Neo-Health Group which include Neopharm, Nova Diagnostics, NH Life Sciences. His innovative research in life science led to Edison’s Award and Geneva Innovation Award in 2024.

 

Dr Fong has actively involved in community service in the past 20 years. He has been senior consultant for AIDS Concern, Chairman of Action for Reach Out and advisor for many NGOs involved in HIV prevention. He is currently Vice President of Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Business cum Chairman of Medical Affair Committee. He is also currently Chairman of Health Services Committee of Rotary Club District 3450 and Rotarian of the Year in 2022.
